About Katie
I joined Abel Design Group, an architecture firm out of Houston, Texas, after interning at Hughes Litton Godwin in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, I was responsible for assisting the design team with construction documents, finish selections, and space planning for such clients as Turner Construction, Koch Business Solutions, Kimberly-Clark, AutoTrader, Georgia Pacific, and Georgia Tech. I graduated from Brenau University's CIDA accredited interior design program with a Bachelors of Fine Arts and a Masters of Interior Design. I also completed a Bachelor's in Studio Art and Minor in Art History from the University of Mississippi.
I strongly believe that designers can affect the way people feel and
function inside a space. We spend most of our lives indoors, so it is the
designer's responsibility to ensure the environments created for the public are environmentally safe, operationally efficient, maintainable and aesthetically pleasing. I am excited to learn more and share my passion for design with other design professionals.
